Zhuldyz Beisbayeva is working on Anterior Cruciate Ligament regeneration. Her current work focuses on the characterization of native ACL tissue in terms of structural and compositional properties and changes observed upon injury.  More specifically, Zhuldyz investigates the collagen fibril diameter distribution of healthy and injured bovine ACL. She also investigates functional changes upon changes in tissue biomechanics.

Fariza Mukasheva is working on Rotator Cuff Tendon regeneration. Her current work focuses on the fabrication of nano-fiber based scaffolds enriched with spatially controlled molecules to mimic the structure of native tendon bone insertion at the shoulder. Fariza designs and fabricates biomimetic scaffolds incorporated with TGF-β3, investigates the release of TGF-β3 from fibers with different diameters.
